Molly Raimon, of Gardner, inducted into international nursing honor society

2015 May 19

On April 27, Becker College's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, along with Molly Raimon, of Gardner, and eight other individuals, were inducted into the Iota-Phi-at-Large Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International.

In order for a school to be accepted into this international honor society, it must offer a minimum of a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent in nursing and be accredited by a recognized accrediting body. Along with Becker's BSN program, the nine inductees--eight students and one alumna--were inducted as new members of this group. The charter amendment ceremony took place at the Albert Sherman Center, UMass Graduate School of Nursing, in Worcester, MA.

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of people worldwide through leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research. Membership in the honor society is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, and to nurse leaders who demonstrate exceptional achievement in nursing.
